Author! Author!

Encourage your child to discover a favorite author. Chances are that if your child really enjoys the writer’s style or sense of humor, he or she will be more likely to read other books by the same or similar type authors. Once your child has  discovered a favorite, stick with it! This makes the process of choosing new books much simpler, especially for younger children. Children also enjoy following familiar characters and plots, prefer to choose books which are part of a series.  Many favorite children’s authors have written numerous book series. Many of these series are bundled as boxed sets or collections, and make great gifts!
